RePacificar, since its foundation, has as its axiological pillar the dissemination of its methodology of re-signification of conflicts and crises, in a preventive and restorative way, with a priority focus on families, acting through the empowerment of schools and communities.
The subtitle of the documentary is a reference to the tribute paid by Correios do Brasil to RePacificar, with the launch of the RePacificar Stamp – Peace in the Heart of Brazil, in 2015.
The documentary’s narrative will be built from the RePacificar journey and its actions, which began preliminarily in 2014, and will bring two main pillars of the culture of peace actions in Brazil to structure the dialogue and open it to the other guests interviewed: MovPaz, more reputable and consolidated movement in favor of a culture of peace in Brazil, and the URI – United Religious Initiative, which promotes interreligious dialogues and actions.
Recordings will be made in schools and communities where RePacificar activities are taking place, bringing a practical view of field actions, demonstrating the results achieved with the methodology and tools to prevent and re-signify conflicts. Moments of regional seminars, training sessions, implementation actions and testimonies will be recorded.
The documentary will feature great names in the culture of peace from Brazil and other countries, including Arun Gandhi, grandson of Mahatma Gandhi; Verne Harris, Director of the Nelson Mandela Foundation and a friend of Mandela’s; and several partners of the Association for Conflict Resolution – Gretare New York (ACR-GNY), partners of RePacificar since its development phase.
